This is taken up the rambla, about 20 minutes walk from the house.

This is a hidden valley about half an hour's walk away ,................ and a goatherd leading his flock near the house.

There are old mines in the hills, though we have never dared to enter.

An interesting walk a short drive away is along the old railway branch which ran from Bedar to Serena. Take a torch for the tunnel. When you get there Serena is a really beautiful village.

. Flamenco at Alfaix fiesta.

It is about 2 hours drive to the Alhambra, said to be the second most beautiful building in the world.

The picturesque and touristy town of Mojacar is about 15 minutes drive, and also the fishing port of Garrucha.

And Mojacar Playa has a superb beach.
